Mumble-Jumble

If someone had, a decade ago, looked me in the eye and said "listen here child, you should know, by the way, that you shall be very unhappy in the course of your life", I would surely have, in all probability and as was my wont, reproached him for having said so for I always thought I knew its meaning and hence understood life the best,  or at least better than many who were older to me. And that's kids for you. Children always think they have the best ideas, ideas to change society, why, mankind, even. And it takes a lifetime to realize how wrong those ideas were. I wish someone had; I wish to have known the truth.

  1. Well, Children do not have ideas to change society. They are usually happy with what they have.
It is so called adults who have such dumb ideas. :D

  2. Hmm...I disagree, or at least I am not talking about children that young! :)

Children do have such ideas, and I am, in fact, talking about those formative years of one's life when they start perceiving the world around and start making what-they-think-is-rational decisions on their own. They're still kids to us no doubt, but they aspire to be considered mature enough to be free individuals. And it's these children that I mean to write about.
